2022

2022, what a year.

I hope you had more ups than downs this year.

I hope you had more good than bad.

I hope you had experiences that left a lasting memory.

I hope that if there were more downs than ups, that the hard days are days you can look back on and be thankful for. Days that changed you. Days that you grew from, learned from, and are stronger from. Because if we didn’t have such trying times, we wouldn’t be extraordinarily grateful for the good.

If I learned anything this year, it’s two things. 1) Be forever thankful for good health &

2) It’s okay to feel those downs the same time you feel those ups, happy and sad all at once.

Some of our hardest days were also some of our absolute best, most memorable days. We had a lot of instances this past year that reminded us how lucky we are to be here and as healthy as we can be. While sickness, injuries, or near death experiences are never  easy things to navigate through, they bring you so much closer to the ones you love, give you a new perspective and make you appreciative of what you do have.

It was at this time, a little over a year ago, that we were running to the store to go buy some digital pregnancy tests since we didn’t really believe it to be true when reading a traditional pregnancy test. Yes, New Year’s Eve of 2021, we said goodbye to all the bloodwork, tracking, etc. because we could finally say hello to a sweet baby boy growing quickly!

We hoped and prayed for our boy for some time, being patient for our turn. A smooth pregnancy with a crazy delivery all to be here and healthy today. A wild ride.

I pray you can look back on your ride of 2022 and acknowledge all that you’ve accomplished. That time you didn’t think you’d make it through or you just couldn’t do it anymore? Look where you are now.

You did it.

You did it and so much more.

You are so much stronger than you thought you were in that moment.

I pray your 2023 is filled with good health, love and hope.

I pray your 2023 is a breath of fresh air. Take a deep breath, soak it in, and enjoy the ride.
